Terrible losses! Geez... that's wretched news. It was so extreme a change, from a cool spring and generally lingering winter we thought would never disappear! I'm anticipating an extreme summer now.... Though I suffered nervously watching the hot wind beat everything around, my damages amounted to a few fried martagon stems. Now I know I've been fortunate.

The mind races with 'solutions' (like instant wind barriers and shade-cloth roofs). I wonder if we might create some kind of tactical response to future 'disaster' days. I just have a feeling there'll be more >>

Anthony, what types of lilies pulled through best?
