Those of us in the North Cental US went thru that this past summer too. I think, tho, that it's still somewhat early in the season and lilies being so resilient, those that are not too far along should bounce back nicely. Your first week of Dec. corresponds to our first week of June here in the States, so there's still a good amount of time left provided you get cooler weather and rain. Last summer, we had several days of 38'+. July 4th and 5th was 41.7' with -11' humidity and peak gusts to 56K. I had to dissbud probably 75% of what I have quickly. Disheartening? Yes, but I kept one good thought at hand always--that is: all my good work is not lost--I still have my lilies and I'll put my best into it and they'll all be back next year. That thought went thru my mind every day. So, in spite of it all, I still considered myself blessed in that regard--kept me smiling, anyway. And you've accomplished a lot too, Anthony. A lot to be thankfull for. Keep a smile for that!
A photo to cool things off a bit (of my road just around the corner- Jan 2011). Could that be Moby in the Jeep coming thru?
