Have you seen the sticky here about building a greenhouse cheaply? I think you might benefit from the information there. Also I have a thought about how to use it. If you built something you could move in the summers, you could protect your plants through the winter. Just put a small heater or something in the greenhouse you build to keep the ground from freezing inside, & presto...no more frozen bulbs...Is only a thought, & I do not know if it would work without being a permanent structure, but what have you got to lose if your already losing the bulbs each year?links to greenhouses listed on site below.
