It sounds like the chili served a dual purpose for you. Would you have realized the power was off otherwise? What a mess that would have been for your lovelies.

Chili hit our spot too. And the temps have dropped so fast here. They said 23 but revised it to 28 ~ right now 35. I have the wood heater and an electric heater in the greenhouse and am watching the remote thermometer. It is mid 50s on the cooler end and 60 on the other end. Off to add more firewood before turning in.
