My cousin gave me a clivia plant when she divided hers this fall. This morning I noticed that it is going to bloom! The bloom is barely visible in the middle of the leaves. Approximately how long does it take from this stage until the full stalk appears and the blooms open? We will be away from home approximately 3 weeks and don't want to miss this. We can take it with us as we are traveling from one home to another, but if it takes sometime to come into full bloom, I had rather not risk damaging the plant by carting it around.
