I truly enjoy your way with words, and as always this was a wonderful article! We don't have Apple trees around these parts; I don't think I've ever seen an Apple tree in Florida. Your article got my curiosity up so I googled and found some information for growing apples in the sunshine state!

I've always loved apples, especially Macintosh and Golden Delicious but my new favorite is the Ambrosia Apple that I've been finding at the supermarket this year. I did some research and learned that it's a fairly new variety from British Columbia. It's a really wonderful apple; not too tart, not too sweet ... just perfect!
I remember my grandmother making Apple Pan Dowdy when I was very young but I haven't had it in many, many years. I think I'll have to make some in the next day or so, but for now .... I'm going to eat an Ambrosia Apple!
