Sharon, thank you for another wonderful article. Although we don't have any fruit trees on our property, I fondly remember picking apples from a local farmer's orchard in Wisconsin where my grandparents lived. I can't wait to try your recipe. I love some of the older varieties of apples and seek them out each year.
