Myriam if you visit the above link you will find a lot of floral kingdoms roaming around but Alocasia does not belong to any of them. I have seen them growing wild in a part of my country that is no more. Yes, they are an impressive sight along the waterways and the following link will take you to that part of the world.

I am afraid non of the countries in South Asia are interested in Flora or Fauna even though the Floral Kingdom has not been cataloged, going extinct unknown. What ever little bit being done is being done in individual capacity. With more then 65% of the population malnourished and only 2% Lording over this sea of humanity
who cares where the Flora goes. This sea of humanity is only interested in how to put the evening food on the table and how to improve the future of their children, how can they take the time out for Flora? They don't even know if the world exists. Zombies.
