Hurray! Hurray! I got so excited when I read this article. There was only one year that we successfully grew cantaloupe, if you call 3 melons a success. I never though about saving seed from the melons that actually made it to maturity.
Would the wise thing be to plant two different varieties that are considered doable in northern climates? Growing them close together for pollination? Then save the seed for next year?
