I learn something here every day!! I watch my neighbors house because they don't live here and we stuck what I now know is Callisia fragrans in the back because it grows like wild and doesn't need watering or much care. It took over the small bed (luckily it is surrounded by concrete and a pool) in a few months. It actually looks really good but I've never noticed it blooming. I get it cut back and pulled out a couple times a year when it starts to look ratty and it comes back quickly. Anyway, I didn't know what it was but I recognized it on this thread so I went over and took some pics.
