I have been given seedlings from several hybridizers, all with the understanding that I won't share pollen or fans with anyone, and when I don't want the seedling anymore, it goes back to them, or compost (their decision). I had one from John Rice that I loved - but he decided not to intro it and told me to compost it. I dug it up, tossed it on the compost pile. It bloomed for 3 years sitting on top of the compost pile! LOL

I've had several seedlings from Curt Hanson that he later introduced. I kept a fan and returned the clumps to him so he had more fans to sell.

If a hybridizer knows your working with a certain form, sometimes they will share a seeding with you for you to use.
