Cheryl, you don't have to move all the way to Merida to have pink Tabebuia trees. (although Merida is a wonderful city) There are lots of them here in Florida, too.

I had a beauty in the front yard of the house we lived in 5 years ago. Wish I had taken more pictures of it, but next time I drive up that way I'll take one. As Hetty says, they are blooming a month early here because of the very warm weather we've had in January.

Up close, the flowers look like azaleas, with pretty markings in the throats.
