We have 5 inches of new snow on top of ice from the last partial meltdown. The UPS driver had to chain up to get out of here last evening. They do the town deliveries first, then the rural routes, so in the winter it is always dark when they arrive. Hubby chained up the 4WD tractor and plowed/blew snow to clear the driveway today. He blows in some places, plows in others. The temperature has warmed to 36, so we have a bit of melting. More snow in the forecast. We need it.

Anna and Kathleen, I hope your roads are in good shape for your travels.

Kathleen, 3 calves for 2 grown heifers sounds like a good deal. I hope they turn out to be good ones. Otherwise not such a good deal. I hope your milking crew keeps Stan out of it. Wives don't have a whole lot of influence. I hope his doctor has more.

Two loaves of banana bread are in the oven, smelling very good.
Of all the things I've lost, I miss my mind the most.
