Rabbits and voles can cause the same damage. Bird netting has kept everything out of mine during the winter.

That really is hard to look at. I know how I feel when I see some of my plants damaged by critters. Group hug
But I agree, most should snap out of it once growing season starts.
Have you seen the deer nibbling on them?
Sorry, I just shivered and cringed when I went to look again. Sad
