CR Thank you for posting this wonderful article on hardy roses Thumbs up . It seems just like you had read my thoughts, I have had roses on my mind for the last 2 weeks. I have some roses in my sheltered yard, and most of them seem to do well. I have also planted some very hardy ones in my "woodland garden" in the south part of my country, Iceland. I have not seen many flowers there yet , maybe too litlle fertilizer or too much wind, I think I should baby them more. I will definitely try some of the roses you mention in your article (have been Googling them for the last hour). There is one that I do not seem able to find here in Iceland, but I would so much like to try, that is R. Lillian Gibson Lovey dubby . Is is really almost thornless?

I also found that my friend Rannveig has uploded some of her photos of R. Polareis in the database. Btw that is also one rose I would like to have too. nodding nodding
