We have a potential problem in Calgary with people using chlorine bleach to kill dandelions.
It is mostly seniors who are attracted to the cheap bleach at Wallyworld over the expensive,
but safer herbicides. Bleach will leave chlorides in the soil, and also some chlorine will pollute the air.

The seniors may not see the effects themselves, but whoever buys those homes, and tries to garden
on chloride polluted soil may in the future have problems.

And some chlorides wind up in storm sewers and go down to the river.

One person using a few gallons of bleach may not be a big problem,
but if there are hundreds of people doing it, and then over watering their lawns----problems later.
