. Does it make any difference? I have one which has scalloped edges, unruly with yellow blooms. Is that another species? Gravel and sand might be free draining but at the same time does not absorb water readily in a rain. Maybe some plants may keep us company in hell, from their behavior it seems so. Might as well get on good terms with them 
before I end up spending eons with them
