But, if you've found a plant that suits you best, that's all that matters! I'm not meticulous on pruning and also prefer no-fuss, except my roses. Roses in the south pretty much require spraying just because of the issues that come along with humidity and heat. I steer toward perennials that keep on giving over and over... roses, clematis, daylilies and irises.
