I"m so glad this popped up as a random idea today, because I kept meaning to search for it. I have some grocery store garlic that sprouted, so I popped the entire bulb into a pot with another plant. I realize it's technically too late now, but I'm going to move it to where my rosebush is, and separate the cloves. If it grows, fantastic! If it doesn't, there's always next fall.
