It is now 2013, and the amaryllis bulbs I have left outdoors the whole year of 2012 are just doing their vegetative growth all year round. Luckily we have a very very mild, drier winter this winter season of 2012 - 2013. I have one amaryllis in the group that was separately potted, and in early Feb 2013 I moved it to the garage, since it is not blooming anyways and the old leaves had already wilted, but the bulb seems very firm.

Checking on the one in the garage in late Feb, it is now sending new growth, so I have moved it to our south facing windows upstairs. Took this photo on 04March and I think it will try to give me a bloom..keeping fingers crossed! Big Grin Hope rekindled!
