This thread is interesting to me. Every year I 'lily hunt' for older cultivars by just driving thru older well kept neighborhoods and snooping around peoples' backyards under the cover of a rummage or garage or estate sale. And if I can get in one backyard, I can usually see the backyards on either side making it a triple. About what year were these on the market? I'll keep an eye out for these and Thunderbolt--the one grapus is looking for. I always say: "a good lily is where you find it" Remember now, this is how I first got my real start with lilies--by somebody bringing me a box full from an estate sale. And I've hunted for lilies every summer since.
