Even the weeds look lovely on this indescribably beautiful morning after the rains and with some sun shining now...

I had a line of salvias along a back fence, in part shade and let them go in an attempt to lessen the water / work load here...but this salvia madrensis is still there, flowering, despite not being watered last summer and despite being in the shade...

About 20-some years ago I was given a bucketful of elephant garlic. I planted, dug, divided, re-planted...all to keep increasing the stock to the point where I would be selling it at the farmers' market. Then I realized it was a lot of work and I was getting no help from my son who I figured would be doing the selling...lol., so I let it go. This is apparently self sown, way down the property from where it originally grew. I love volunteers...next to it is a eucalyptus citriodora seedling..

Perhaps I should start over with that one bulb of elephant garlic..unfortunately, I myself don't care for the flavor.

Pelargonium Mr Wren, down in a patch that I was going to let naturalize...
