Well, I'm going to revisit this and state that, for a 100% fact, BlueGirl is my ultimate favorite rose. Not only does it produce the most spectacular of the silver/blue roses, they smell like heaven, last a long time both cut & on stem, have magnificently long stems that practically beg to be cut, PLUS IT SURVIVED THE BEST OUT OF EVERYONE THIS WINTER!! Yay!!! I'm dreading having to prune this beautiful rose bush, as it actually *did* take off finally last year (had a long beginning where I wasn't sure if it was going to do anything), but stayed 100% green from graft to tippy top of each cane! Almost every other single rose had some major winter kill... only BlueGirl had no blackened canes at all! And no, it's not because it's in a protected spot or anything as it was less than a foot away from Medallion and that poor thing.. I had to chop it down almost to the graft. *sigh* But talk about a no-holds-barred, undemanding rose! I love it! Now, I'm just waiting patiently for some buds to appear.. but I have to have leaves, first!! LOL!!
Roses are one of my passions! Just opened, my Etsy shop (to fund my rose hobby)! http://www.etsy.com/shop/Tweet...
