Greg, yeah, boxer/shepard mix. Frankie's OK with the neighbor's free range chickens so I'm hopeful once my little chickies get some size to them, they will look less like a snack. We had a Rhode Island Red rooster years back who was best buddies with our dog at the time - the rooster would pick through Max's long shaggy coat looking for bugs. Another dog-bird combo we enjoyed was Rosie (medium sized mutt) and Hilbert (duck) who used to mock-fight each other constantly, never drawing blood but what a racket they would make.

Ran across granddaughter Peyton's 'key' to the chicken names - Violett, Blossom, Bubbles, Roto, Sissary, Mojojojo, Karen, Scram, Bulls, and the Blonde Squad (3 yellows), along with a general description. We'll see if she can still match them up next time she comes down.
I want to live in a world where the chicken can cross the road without its motives being questioned.
