I opened the coop the other day too quickly and one of the chicks fell out (must have been leaning against the door). Frankie was of course at my feet and she was 'on it' but just kind of trapped it between her paws as I yelled at her to leave it. Chick of course ran in frantic circles (like a chicken with her head cut off..), but I caught it and returned it to its buddies. No harm, although everyone's heart rate was certainly elevated...
