I do love the flowering almond, Dana, but it spreads like crazy. For a while, I was cutting off the suckers and planting them in other parts of the garden, but now I have six or seven huge shrubs that keep getting bigger and bigger. They're too pretty to dig up and toss, though.

How funny that you're in the 70-80 range, CR and Dana, and I'm in the 40s and 50s here in sunny California. It still hasn't stopped raining. It's terrible for the fruit trees. The plums and pears bloomed, but the rain knocked all the blossoms off, so now there'll be no fruit.
