Yes, it rolls around my tongue and sings! "Mangiatutto!!" I even have to wave my hands as I say it.

I'm guessing at some of this:

Pisello - - - pea

Rampicante - "rampant" - climbing

Gigante - - - gigantic

Svizzero - - - Swiss, not French!

That's funny, because everyone agrees this was developed in Maussane, near Avignon
in southern France. Maybe when Italians think of snow (snow peas), they think of Switzerland?

I still have no idea who or what "Carouby" is.
