This site shows using roofing material before adding the soil. But I agree with Bev, I would use a very heavy grade plastic, maybe like the liter type of pond liner. I would make the two side with some drainage holes for the run off. Maybe the liner can wrap over and under the edge, before attaching the side piece? Now wouldn't it be cute with tiny little rain gutters. Lovey dubby
