Well...Crystal... great ideas for my interior water feature...my thoughts and MO as well... you certainly get my certification for knowing what's up... my only addition is to put a backing board between the rubber and the fake stone.. so the stone adhears to a backing as well as being stacked upon one another for the 12' build up... and it will also help the ponds strength and allow the stone to be used inside and outside of the pond..... much like the way I did my bathroom sink/trough...[support... rubber membrane..backing board.. stone ] ... If you just came aboard you might have missed my general roof garden interview tour... posted a few weeks ago...

I've a small pond there ... with a small water flow and a fogger.. underwater LED lights changing color.....
