These seem happy despite slugs and cool DRY summers (though I do water them).

Marigolds (French or African)
Zinnia
Lobelia
Sweet William (Dianthus Barbatus)
snapdragons

Just because it ISN'T complicated doesn't mean I can't MAKE it complicated!
