Karen, I bought about sixty from CB my first year with Hostas. Could not have done that without CB, prices were same or about same as co-ops at the time and he had two year plants. Very good packing. Too good... almost.
Hallsons has big plants, like you say and for off the grid to to Naylor Creek, he has some of the unusual ones for regular prices. He doesn't charge more because no one else has it, I got Orange Marmalade from him, two years ago, and a few others I could not find anywhere else. Last year I got Yellow Polka Dot Bikini and Sharp Dressed Man. I was very happy with my plants.
