It looks more like Big Bluestem to me. Right now my Little Bluestem plants are more green than that and have reddish tints on parts of the stems that aren't covered with leaf sheaths. The Damianita can bloom more with watering, but I think the frequently watered ones don't last as long.
I would feel more optimistic about a bright future for man if he spent less time proving that he can outwit Nature and more time tasting her sweetness and respecting her seniority. E. B.White
