Yes, they are growing like weeds. I have two with the feathered feet -- Karen (the white with black markings) and Mojojo (the black/gray). As they mature, I'll have to match them up with their proper breed (I kept the receipt) which I think will be easier once they are fully feathered out. So far, no sign of a rooster, although I am unsure when that would be evident. If I don't end up with any, I'll find a free one from the feed store bulletin board. I like that crowing in the morning, and if someone wants to set on eggs, may as well have them be fertile. My neighbor next door (rooster-less) reports that one of his hens has been sitting on a golf ball for a couple weeks now...
I want to live in a world where the chicken can cross the road without its motives being questioned.
