My hubby and I spent a week in Michigan's upper peninsula visiting the Porcupine Mountains State Park and the Keweenaw Peninsula.
We stayed in a cottage on Lake Superior and had a private beach
(along with the other guests).
Saw lots of pretty scenery and TREES!
The U.P. is literally one big forest.
Lower Michigan where we live has alot of trees as well but up north...wow!
Aside from climbing a million steps to get to scenic views we toured an old 1800's copper mine, sat on the beach, watched the sunset, viewed the northern lights,
went rock hunting and I found a rock store with a gazillion rocks, minerals and gemstones....one of my things to collect.
Its good to be sleeping on my deluxe pillow top mattress again but oh how
I wish I could spent the whole summer exploring the shores of the magnificent Lake Superior!
