Of course, a lot depends on the size of the bale, too. Our hay bales vary from 65-70 lbs all the way up to 125 lbs. But straw is a LOT lighter! He didn't think they'd weigh over 40 lbs. Heh heh, one easy way to find out: go where they sell them and try to pick one up!
