It turns out that of the peppers in the back that I'm pinching, I did indeed leave one of them unpinched as a test. I went out just now and took photos.

These plants are growing next to each other. The one on the left is pinched. They are small (only a couple weeks in the ground) but you can see a difference between the pinched one and the other one!
