Good advice Hetty, but I don't think I could ever force myself to willingly cut a plumeria flower...(unless it was infested with something catchy), no more than I can force myself to de-flower the first year strawberry plants, like I should.
I know that removing flowers from immature plants forces their energy into making roots.
I also know that first year strawberries, while small, seem sweeter and tastier than those that arrive later, during the second season, and that plumeria flowers are good for the soul....they lift the spirit, and just make days ...better!
I hope you post a pcture of that cutting, Jonna..
