Julie, your hercs are beautiful. The ones I have in the ground look like as what others have described. Many of mine look dead there are no leaves. It sure does not look like they are showing any proof of live. So dividing would be useless for me right now. I will see what happens.
The ones I purchased at the end of the season that I posted in my pot post here are huge and look like they never went to sleep for the winter.
I did not do any winter protection of the pots they sat on the side of my driveway all winter. I picked them up so cheap I did not worry about losing them. Now I am happy I have them to fill in the blanks. But the new ones are going in pots. I am not going to plant any more directly in the garden. I am not getting good survival rate in ground growing.
