I have picked up several of these shrubs at HD for the last two years. They seem to only get them in around October. They are cheap about 4.00 and it is usually cold raining or snowing. So I have ended up leaving them in the pots unprotected. They were placed in the garden where I wanted to plant them.

I was amazed that they survive because several sites give them different hardy zones. Some say 5 some 6 and some 7. Okay my problem is....

Two years ago I purchased 2. One I planted and one remained in the pot in the garden. The one I planted died. The one that has been in the pot for 2 winters survived.

I liked it so much when I saw them last Fall I purchased 6 of them this Fall. Now I have 7 live plants. I am wondering if I should maybe baby them in pots for 2 years then put them in the ground. They are one gallon pots.

This is what they looked like in the Winter they are evergreen
