Debra, I'm pretty sure it was a photo of yours that put ORCHID MOONRISE on my 'must have' list. Got it from Dan Hansen shortly after that. I don't notice low bud counts because I get so few high bud counts. Too much shade, too little moisture. My ORCHID MOONRISE is growing under a cedar (juniper) and close to a river birch. Still blooms reasonably well and I've used it quite a lot in my hybridizing. I've now got some seedlings planted at a friend's place where they can get full sun and no root competition to see what increase and bud count are under somewhat better conditions.
