Thank you Becky. When they take pictures of tulips to use in that catalogs they usually take when they are closed. So I think of it as the classic tulip form.

I have loved tulips forever. I think it goes back to my childhood when my dad used to plant tulips each fall and then in spring usually around easter they would flower. Dad always took pics of mom and me dressed in our go to church easter finery in front of the beds of blooming tulips. Tulips were my dads favorite flower.

Yes, the darwins are in front of three rows of daylilies and then a Tall Bearded Iris bed anf then more rows of daylilies. It all used to be my veggie bed but I just had to have more daylilies!

Looking towards the back in this picture, everything in back of that bed of tulips in front of the green poles was my veggie garden. The tulip bed is actually one of my main daylily beds but now with all the tulips blooming you can barely notice the daylilies.

Not to worry, veggie beds are back. I just have them in my driveway sideyard.
