Jackie, you can wait it doesn't have to be tomorrow...being in the greenhouse is a good idea only while its raining.
The dead leaves can/will lead to rot, so picking them off is a good idea.
Also, most semp "chicks" don't mind being lifted and handled a bit. (as you know, I often do this! Its my opinion that I'm mimicking nature by lifting them every now and then Shrug! Or they're just too cute and I can't help it! Rolling on the floor laughing ) Although I know others plant them and leave them alone :nodding:)
Tomorrow I'll get updates of the one that has been giving me "rot" problems Jovibarba 'Torrid Zone' and you'll see that I have to keep picking a leaf here and there off, and I can tell which ones because they are no longer firm and they often fall easily from the plant.
