Thanks for all the suggestions. Perhaps I can do the shade cloth.

I just thought the bubble wrap would provide some insulation. Most were all sitting on the concrete close together with
some protection from the winds. Then I put them on table tops where they would get more sun. That may have done
them in when the cold weather came.
