Actually, I got pretty close and couldn't detect any odor (and I was sniffing for it)... maybe the scent is strongest when it first opens, or at night, or... ?

Of course, there's a lot of open space in the convention center to disperse odors, but since I could easily smell phlox and hyacinths, I was surprised this bloom wasn't whiffy.

Thanks for your patience with me as I tried to find the right entry for this photo!
