Dot...the UIS has an early informal show and I like to compete. Some of the Salt Lake Valley gardens have bloomer earlier than I do in my open beds so to have some for the show I planted some little ones against the foundation where it is warmer and they bloom earlier. We had this show last Monday and I had about 20 specimens. We don't give ribbons but the judges pick the best 3. Let me brag a little...I had best with Star Woman and 2nd best with Raspberry Ice. Best Specimen wins a 2013 SDB.
