Rita: I grow my potatoes in Smart Pots. I dont' have enough real estate to let the vines sprawl, so I use some double-ringed plant supports, and put plastic netting around it. The vines stay confined, and I can continue to grow the vines up and continue to mulch them. Last year, I started with ~ 2.5 # of seed potatoes, and harvested almost 18# of potatoes. I think that was worth the effort,... and they taste sooooooo good.
