Mike - you can do what DH & I did 15+ years ago.. elope! We went before a judge (who was the probate judge), had a quick 5 minute "wedding" (the judge's main occupation was auctioneer.. to this day I *still* don't know what he said), we signed paperwork, and whala, married. 6 months later had a "renewal of our vows" (DH's Orthodox priest was so unhappy that we eloped.. he'd hoped that we'd asked him to officiate). All that attended in the church (who could seat a grand total of maybe 30 people) was the priest, DH, myself, my father, the priest's boyfriend (Orthodox is very progressive), and 1 family of friends.. that was it. Afterwards, we had our reception in our dormroom (we were living on college campus). It was a fancy affair of Cherry Koolaid & home-made brownies.
LOL.
But absolute congrads on winning!!
