I just got done planting a few roses from ARE. Crepuscule, Cramoisi Superieur, Marie Pavie (2), Pink Parfait (2), Magic Dragon, Buff Beauty, Don Juan, Gloire de Lyon, and Lady Hillingdon. It's the first time I've seen them strip the leaves from the roses before shipment, but they clearly did this, as the only leaves they had were ones that had opened in transit.

Several from ARE that I planted last year: Rise 'n' Shine, Hermosa, Mons Tillier & ZD are doing wonderfully - they are among the best roses in the garden. Several from that batch are languishing: Sombreuil and Celine Forestier, and a red Kordes floribunda whose name escapes me at the moment.
When you dance with nature, try not to step on her toes.
