Thanks for the note of encouragement, Melva! On those early spring mornings when last year's canes have dried to nothing and there's but a cluster of new leaves sticking out of the ground, it takes some resolve to fight the temptation to replace them with something more conspicuously vigorous. But I think a well established CF is one of those garden beauties definitely worth waiting for.
