Yes. Completely dormant. I am not sure it's the norm... but at least in my care, it starts yellowing leaves in the fall and i just stop watering.
It produces lots of tiny corms attached to the big one and when I re-use the dirt, I always end up with sprouting leaves in different pots.

Mine are starting to grow now... kinda late.
